Un libro strano, con un contenuto difficile, che si legge benissimo e ti coinvolge senza mai essere esagerato, senza scene spinte. L'aspetto migliore è lo stile di Nabokov che ti accompagna e ti avvolge, costringendo il lettore a proseguire nella lettura, turbato ma non sconvolto. Molto ben caratterizzati i due protagonisti: lui è un maniaco, consapevole dei suoi problemi, che si racconta e alla fine quasi ti fa compassione; lei è una ragazzina smaliziata e spregiudicata, vittima di lui, ma abile a "usarlo" e alla fine a sfilarsi. Un libro fuori dal comune, da leggere.
