Quick, fun read
3 stelle
It's a nice idea that would have benefited from another round of re-reading and re-writing. It's full of good concepts, but in the end they're left quite thin. Almost feels like an attempt at fishing for a TV-series contract. Descriptions are short, when they exist at all, which could be a conscious choice when it comes to characters, given that at least two of them are nonbinary and the protagonist has a gender-neutral name, never being referred to via pronouns; but even when it comes to the Kaijus, the other animals, or the environments, we get just a few lines, usually describing a part or a characteristic. I'm not a fan of lengthy descriptions or wordy authors, but this is maybe too concise. Still, it makes for a quick, streamlined read. The biggest flaw for me is that the characters are all the same, save for one which is the same character as everyone else but a bit more angry for some reason.
All in all, it's not bad, not excellent, a fun little story.
