I read this book after seeing its Prime Video transposition (quite similar in several aspects, but with two timelines and some characters not present or with different roles in the novel). I've overall loved it, and I'm tempted to read more in this book series.

Davvero molto bello. Come sempre, i personaggi della Barbato sono splendidi e la trama (che, in questo caso, propone uno spaccato delle attività digitali clandestine) ha un ritmo davvero frenetico. Assolutamente consigliato.

After an adequate starting point, Exit Strategy becomes one of the worst Jack Reacher books I've read. Still, a Jack Reacher book, so not exactly an unpleasant read.

This is the first of Cormoran Strike's books I didn't fully love - and I guess one of the main reasons is that after The Running Grave it was really difficult to keep the same absurdly great level. But I also found some other minor issues - some (IMHO) odd editing, some (IMHO) out-of-character behaviour - that, without ruining the reading pleasure for this wonderful book, forced me to give just 4 stars, instead of five.

Avevo davvero adorato My Best Friend’s Exorcism - e non posso che dire lo stesso per quest'altro libro - divorato in pochi giorni e apprezzato in ogni sua parte. Un bell'horror classico - con uno spessore extra lato personaggi.

I've reread this novel after fifteen years, discovering that really few pieces of its plot were still in my memory. IMHO, a bit weaker story compared to the first book, nevertheless, a spectacular supernatural adventure, with strong characters.

I loved its pace, its music and sports details, and most of the mystery's plot. Characters and dialogues are stunning as always, and some scenes are quite memorable.
BUT, imho, too many things work just "by luck" - and while I don't have problems with supernatural things in horror books, I like less God-driven sequences - above all when they're too many.
I couldn't help loving King's human portraits, and I still enjoyed this novel, but I won't put this title among my favorites.
