"Storia diversa per gente normale, storia comune per gente speciale"

Un piccolo spaccato sociale degli USA degli anni Settanta. Due adolescenti estremamente intelligenti e con difficoltà sociali (neurodiversi, forse?). Una storia su come essere "normali" quando si è "eccentrici". Un finale agrodolce che non ti aspetti da un racconto di formazione. Nel complesso un Bildungsroman sui generis, che racconta la vita vera con tutti i suoi intoppi e non i buoni sentimenti.
