One winter's night as the snow lies heavy on the ground, a visitor spends the night at Wuthering Heights, a remote farmhouse in the depth of the moors. The walls of his room are scribbled with the name 'Catherine', and as he sleeps his mind is filled with nightmares. Returning home the next morning, he asks his housekeeper to tell him the story of what happened at Wuthering Heights, of this mysterious Catherine and of the house's enigmatic owner, Heathcliff.
