Set quite before the entire Vorkosigan saga following the character Anais who is a "Dreamweaver", which is similar to Cyberpunk's Brain Dance. She makes her living by using a brain implant to make simulated experiences which is deeper than Virtual reality because it also invokes emotions directly for the viewer.
The story basically does more worldbuilding and ends quickly (62 pages). Interesting but probably won't re-read it.
