This short (91 page) biography gives the reader a good overview of Bacon’s life, his motivations, relationships and evolution as an artist. It includes small reproductions of many of his important works. The format of the book didn’t allow for any of the included works to feel large enough to fully experience them, but on the whole the book whetted my appetite for more.
