Libertarian paternalism protects humans against their damaging psychological traits (inertia, bounded rationality, undue influence) by exploiting those habits to nudge people into making better choices.
A fun read on the uses and benefits of nudges. The book has a good balance of theory and practical applications/real-world examples.
